DG DELIVERY
DG Delivery allows users to place an order on dollargeneral.com or the DG mobile application for delivery within 5 miles of a participating DG store. BY ACCESSING AND/OR USING DG DELIVERY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.
Certain items, such as but not limited to alcohol, certain medicines, tobacco, pre-paid gift cards, mobile phones, and phone cards, cannot be purchased using DG Delivery. No age-restricted items may be purchased using DG Delivery. DG Cash and paper coupons cannot be processed for DG Delivery orders at this time.
In addition to all its other rights, as set forth in these Terms or as provided by law, Dollar General expressly reserves the right to set a maximum single transaction total, a maximum daily transaction total, and/or a maximum item quantity total, all of which may vary by location, applicable to your use of DG Delivery. Dollar General also expressly reserves the right to cancel your Dollar General account, cancel your DG Delivery order, block your access in whole or in part to DG Delivery and/or the Websites and Apps, and direct its third-party service providers to block such access for any reason, including without limitation, where Dollar General suspects fraudulent activity may be occurring using DG Delivery or your log-in credentials.
Orders: You may place DG Delivery orders with a Dollar General account or as a guest. When placing a DG Delivery order, you will be prompted to enter your delivery address and select an ASAP delivery (delivered within one hour for an additional fee) or to schedule a delivery for later the same day or the next day. While it is our goal to have your order delivered within your selected timeframe, we cannot guarantee that any or all of your order will be delivered by then.
We cannot guarantee the total quantity you have ordered for any single product will be in-stock and available when we begin picking your order. Products may be unavailable or may be discontinued or sold out between placement of your order and when your order is picked by your assigned shopper.
In some cases, we may institute a minimum order value on a DG Delivery order. Minimum order values may change based on the location of a participating Dollar General® retail store.
Substitutions: When placing your DG Delivery order, you will be prompted to select your substitution preference after you have placed your order. The substitution prompt will allow you to have the shopper contact you, select substitutions from recommended items provided by DG, or not allow substitutions. All items ordered for delivery will default to allow substitutions. If you request to have the shopper contact you, you will need to provide your mobile phone number. If you elect to have the shopper contact you and you do not respond to the shopper’s communications, the shopper may either select a substitution or cancel that item. Not all items in your DG Delivery order will have a substitution available. Some substituted items may not be eligible for discounts and offers that were applicable to the original items in your DG Delivery Order. Should you opt out of substitutions, any item that is out of stock at the time your order is picked will be cancelled from your order. You will receive an email letting you know which items are in your final delivery order, including any substituted or cancelled items. In the event we substitute an item in your order, you will be charged the retail price of the substituted item and not the retail price of the original item in your DG Delivery order. Further, in the event we substitute an item in your order, coupons (including Digital Coupons) and offers will only apply to the extent the substituted item is eligible for the coupon or offer.
Cancellations: After placing your order, you will have until a shopper is assigned to cancel your order. Your order details page will have a “Cancel Order” button if this option is still available. You will not be able to modify your order after placement. We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time, due to any unforeseen circumstances such as but not limited to store capacity, inability to fulfill your order in a satisfactory manner, power outages, etc.
Communications: We will communicate with you via email and SMS when your DG Delivery order has been placed, if your DG Delivery order is canceled (by you or by Dollar General), when your shopper has arrived at store, when your order is ready for delivery (including any products that were unavailable and/or substituted), and when your order has been delivered. We reserve the right to send you additional communication regarding your DG Delivery order such as but not limited to order status changes, store service changes, etc. By placing a DG Delivery order, you consent to receive these communications.
Payments: All payment information you provide must be truthful and accurate. Providing any untruthful or inaccurate information constitutes a breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any payment transaction for any reason.
DG Delivery accepts credit cards, debit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Cash, check, EBT, DG Cash, and gift cards cannot be accepted for DG Delivery transactions. Digital coupons may be applied to a DG Delivery transaction if the purchase meets the coupon’s eligibility requirements. Paper manufacturer coupons and DG Cash are not accepted for DG Delivery transactions. Cash Back offers may be earned through a DG Delivery order if the user meets the purchase requirements, but any Cash Back earned may only be applied to an in-store purchase.
When you place a DG Delivery order, a hold will be placed on your payment method for the total estimated amount of your order. The hold will reflect product pricing at time of order placement. The total estimated amount will also reflect price adjustments for discounts, taxes, and government fees (such as bottle deposits, bag fees, etc., if applicable) based on the retail location you select, as well as delivery fees and tips.
As soon as your order has been completed and is ready for delivery, we will charge your payment method for your purchase. The final price will reflect product pricing, as set forth below, as well as price adjustments for discounts, substitutions, taxes, and government fees (such as bottle deposits, bag fees, etc. if applicable), based on the applicable retail location, as well as delivery fees and tips.
Pricing: Some item prices may change between the time you place your order and the time it is fulfilled. You agree that item pricing for merchandise you purchase using DG Delivery is the retail price effective as of the date and time your order is fulfilled.
Digital Receipt: For all DG Delivery purchases, you will automatically be emailed a digital receipt to the email address you provided when you placed your DG Delivery order. Your order complete email will act as your DG Delivery order receipt.
Returns and refunds: In the event an item is broken or expired or we did not get something right with your DG Delivery order, you can use the self-service refund application found on your order confirmation. Self-service refunds may be processed for up to 2 items or $5.
For refunds on more than two items in an order, for more than $5 on a particular order, or for a full order refund in the event your order was not delivered to the address provided, contact the Dollar General Customer Care team here for assistance. Dollar General has no obligation to provide refunds for items purchased via DG Delivery but may grant them in its sole discretion in each case.
If an item is missing from your order, you may request a refund for that item using the self-service tool on the Website or Apps or, if the item is over $5, you may contact Dollar General’s Customer Care team. You may also contact Dollar General’s Customer Care team in the event your order is delivered to the wrong address.
If applicable, Dollar General will process your refund to your original method of payment. Bank processing times vary and funds availability is at the discretion of your bank. Please contact your bank if you have a question about when you will receive your refund.
Delivery Fees: A delivery fee applies to all DG Delivery orders. Delivery Fees are not refundable or adjustable should the order size change due to out of stocks, substitutions, or refunds and returns, unless your order was not delivered to the address provided. If you select an ASAP delivery, additional fees may apply. Dollar General may change the fees that are charged as we deem necessary or appropriate for our business. You will see the current fees in your order summary before you purchase your items. Dollar General may also charge you additional fees as required by law.
Tips: A 15% tip will be added to your DG Delivery order at the time you checkout. You may adjust this amount using the percentage buttons provided or enter a custom tip. Please note, tips are nonrefundable, unless your order was not delivered to the address provided. Tips cannot be adjusted once the order is placed and delivered.
