Hero Banner Retro Holly Garland

Create a retro-inspired holly garland crafted from oversized poster board leaves. Interspersed with vibrant red wooden beads for berries, this large-scale garland adds a touch of vintage charm to your holiday décor.

Step One

 

Step 1:

  1. Trim 3" from the top of the bag.
  2. Flip the bag over to the back.
  3. Fold the sides in on the top to meet in the middle, making a point.
  4. Flip the bag back over to the front.

 

Step 2:

  1. Mix ¼ cup of foam shaving cream into ¼ cup of white glue.
  2. Spoon the mixture into a plastic bag.
  3. Cut a small corner off of the plastic bag.
  4. Insert the open corner of the plastic bag into the squeeze bottle and squeeze the mixture into the bottle.
Step Three

 

Step 3:

  1. Print out the template to use as guidance when drawing the house.
    Note: Feel free to create your own gingerbread house design!
  2. Use the chalkboard marker to draw the house design on the bag.
  3. Let the design dry.
Step Four

 

Step 4:

  1. Use the squeeze bottle to draw over the chalkboard marker lines with the mixture. Tip: Let some chalk lines uncovered for added dimension.
Step Five

 

Step 5:

  1. Sprinkle glitter on the mixture while it is still wet.
  2. Make sure to cover all of the areas that are wet.
  3. Tap off the excess glitter and let the design dry.
Step Six

 

Step 6:

  1. Poke two holes in the top of the bag.
    Note: It’s easier to do this while the bag is empty.
  2. Insert the gift into the bag.
  3. Close the bag and thread ribbon through the two holes.
  4. Tie a bow and add any accents that you would like!
