Easy Heart Baked Treat

Give something sweet to the people you love by making these quick and easy Valentine’s Day treats! Paired with chocolate and candy hearts, they are sure to please!

Step 1:

  1. Make toasted rice cereal treats according to the package directions.

 

Step 2:

  1. Press the heart cookie cutter into the toasted rice cereal to make the heart-shaped treats. Tip: Use a sharp knife to clean up the edges, if needed.

 

Step 3:

  1. Melt the light cocoa chocolate according to the package directions.
  2. Use a spoon to make a dollop of melted chocolate on a heart treat.
  3. Press a jelly heart candy into the melted chocolate.
  4. Sprinkle decorating sugar crystals onto the dollop of melted chocolate. 

 

Step 4:

  1. Melt the light cocoa chocolate according to the package directions.
  2. Dip a heart treat into the melted chocolate.
  3. Let the excess chocolate drip off.
  4. Sprinkle decorating sugar crystals on the melted chocolate. 

 

Step 5:

  1. Melt the light cocoa chocolate according to the package directions.
  2. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the heart treat.
  3. Melt the white chocolate according to the package directions. Add a drop or two of pink food coloring and stir to incorporate.
  4. Drizzle the pink melted chocolate over the heart treat. 

 

Step 6:

  1. Trim about 3 ½" from the blunt end of a bamboo skewer.
  2. Push the pointy end of the bamboo skewer through a heart treat so it comes out the other side.
  3. Push a jelly heart candy onto the pointy end of the bamboo skewer to make the tip of the arrow.
  4. Trim a small wedge from the rounded end of a jelly heart candy. Push the remaining larger piece of the jelly heart candy onto the blunt end of the bamboo skewer to make the feather.
