Let's Do This!
Mix together a brown paint by combining yellow, red, black, and white together on your paint palette. Add a bit of water to the mix so the paint soaks into the wooden plaque, enhancing the natural wood grain.
Apply the thin paint to the wooden plaque. Let dry.
Paint 2 triangles and 4 chevron shapes a light, yellow green. Let dry.
Mixing some of the leftover green paint, add in some blue and white. Paint two of the triangle edges in the blue, getting thicker at the point that they meet at.
Using the same blue paint, add detail to the remaining chevron shapes in equal strips.
Using your ruler and pencil, lightly draw on lines from one corner to the opposite.
Lay your shapes in place and hot glue to secure.
Mix red, white, a little bit of purple paint together to get a light pink. Paint one heart and let dry.
Add a little more red and purple to the pink to get a slightly darker color. paint a smaller, darker heart in the center of the wooden shaped heart.
Hot glue the heart just above where the two arrow lines cross.
Using the white puffy paint, follow and trace the pencil lines you made earlier. Continue the lines through the center of the striped chevron shapes.
Add detail to the edge of the plaque by following the rectangular shape with puffy paint dots. Give as a gift or add a wall hanger to the back to display in your room!
