6 Ways to Pamper Your Pet

Treating them like royalty. Let’s make it happen. Show your furry family members some extra love and attention with these special rewards, trips and treats.

Make homemade dog or cat treats.

Everyone knows a snack baked from scratch is something your pet would drool over. There’s a lot of pet-safe recipes online that only require a few pantry basics – and many accommodate pet allergies, too.

Buy a new treat or a new toy.

From leashes to new ergonomic dog beds, there are plenty of ways to make your pet’s life more comfortable. So hit up the local pet store and pick out something special.

    Make an at-home pet spa.

A spa day for Fido? Why not? Do it yourself with a bath and brush session at home.

Learn a new skill with your dog.

Want a meaningful way to bond with your dog? Consider obedience, agility training or therapy dog certification. They’re a fun way for you and your animal to spend dedicated time together. And if you’re still working on potty-training skills, keep Resolve Pet Carpet Spot and Stain Remover on hand.

    Visit a new-to-you-dog park.

Do it up at the dog park. Many dog parks feature fun challenges such as agility ramps and jumps while others are long, glorious stretches for animals who love to expend some off-leash energy – and find new friends, too. Remember to check local rules before visiting; some dog parks require a special tag, entrance fee or permit.

Go on a hike or a swim.

Dogs that love to roam will enjoy traipsing on paths and trails for a few hours by your side. You can also check out a local nature park with a pet-accessible body of water. Don’t forget to pack treats and a portable water container for both you and your dog and obey posted leash rules.
