Bring some fun and color to your garden this season with this cute and practical craft!
What You'll Need:
- Crafter's Closet Acrylic Paint Set
- Crafter's Closet Premium Paint Brushes
- Crafter's Closet Paint Mixing Palette
- Crafter's Closet Jute
- Crafter's Closet Hot Glue Gun
- Crafter's Closet Hot Glue Sticks
- Crafter's Closet Wood Letters & Shapes
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Wooden Paint Stirring Sticks
Let's Do This!
Step 1:
- Mix green paint with a bit of yellow and white. Paint the entire, front and sides, of a paint stirring stick.
- Allowing an inch and half per Small Wooden Letter, measure out the appropriate spacing depending on your word. The max should be 6 letters.
- Draw a straight line clearly marking the inch and a half sections.
Step 2:
- On each marked line, apply hot glue.
- Top the glue with the Jute, leaving a little tail on the left.
- Wrap the twine under the right side and bring back around to the top of the left of the stick. Cross over the front of the stick so you have a double row of jute. Cut the end of the string, leaving a short tail.
- Hot Glue the two tails on each end to the back of the stick.
Step 3:
- Mix up two different shades of orange. One should be lighter and one should be darker. Alternately paint each letter with the orange colors. Let dry.
- Hot Glue the letters to the paint stick.
Tip:
Make up a few different Garden Markers with fun colors and unique twists for a fun way to garden!
