What You'll Need:
Crafter’s Closet Jute
Small Garbage Can or Pot
Crafter’s Closet Hot Glue Gun
Crafter’s Closet Hot Glue Sticks
Let's Do This!
Hot glue the end of the rope to the base of the pot.
Hot glue the first row of rope around the bottom of the pot to secure it in place.
Begin wrapping the rope around the pot, using hot glue to secure the rows as you go.
Wrap the rope about 1/3 of the way up the pot. Cut the rope and hot glue the loose end to the pot.
Hot glue the end of a piece of jute where the rope ended and begin wrapping it around the pot.
Wrap the jute around the pot approximately six times. Cut the jute and hot glue the loose end to the pot. Tip: Cut and hot glue all the ends on the same side of the pot so that all the seams are on one side.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to create a pattern of rope and jute around your pot.
Hot glue the last row of rope around the top of the pot to secure it in place.
Cut the rope and hot glue the loose end to the pot.
Cut two 4 ½" pieces from a belt.
Push a gold thumbtack into each belt piece about an inch from the end so that it looks like a rivet.
Fold the strap in half and adhere it to the top of the pot with the “rivet” facing out.
Hot glue the second strap directly across from the first.
