What You'll Need:
Recycled 20 ounce Can
Crafter’s Closet Burlap Ribbon
Crafter’s Closet Jute
Strong Scissors or Pruners
Crafter’s Closet Precision Scissors
Crafter’s Closet Hot Glue Gun
Crafter’s Closet Hot Glue Sticks
Let's Do This!
Prepare the can by removing the label and washing and drying it.
Wrap burlap ribbon around the can and trim, leaving a slight overlap. Secure in place with hot glue. We used two strips of burlap ribbon to cover the can and kept the seams even in the back.
Cut sticks to lengths between 4" to 4 1/2".
Hot glue the sticks to the can, keeping them packed tightly together. Completely cover the whole side of the can with the sticks.
Wrap jute around the planter twice and secure in place with hot glue. Do this about one inch up from the bottom and one inch down from the top to make two bands.
