Add a modern twist to your kitchen with this easy to make, eye-catching wall art!

What You'll Need:

  • Crafter's Closet 12 x 16 Canvas
  • Crafter's Closet Acrylic Paint Set
  • Crafter's Closet White Puffy Paint
  • Crafter's Closet Tacky Glue
  • Crafter's Closet Premium Paint Brushes
  • Crafter's Closet Paint Mixing Palette
  • Crafter's Closet Hot Glue Gun
  • Crafter's Closet Hot Glue Sticks
  • Crafter's Closet Wooden Letters to spell "E-A-T"
  • White Spray Paint
  • Metal Fork and Spoon
  • Sandpaper

Let's Do This!

 

Step 1:

  1. Mix together and paint the entire canvas a dark grey. Let dry.
  2. Brush on Tacky Glue. Let dry for a few minutes only.
  3. Mix a lighter grey and paint over top of the glue. Be sure not to over brush too much. As the color dries, a crackle effect should start to happen.

 

Step 2:

  1. Mix white and green paint together and paint the three wooden plaques. Let dry.
  2. Paint edge with white paint. Follow the edge with white puffy paint.

 

Step 3:

  1. Paint letter a dark grey. Let dry. Follow the edge with white puffy paint.

 

Step 4:

  1. Spray paint kitchen utensils white. Use the sandpaper to rough up the paint for a more rustic look.

 

Step 5:

  1. Hot glue the three wooden plaques to the canvas. Position the middle one a bit higher then the outer two.
  2. Hot glue a letter to the center of each plaque, spelling EAT.
  3. Hot glue the utensils to the canvas, facing opposite ways.
