A successful past in the Nationwide Series brought Vickers a full-time NASCAR Sprint Cup ride in 2004. In three seasons, Vickers collected 10 top-five and 23 top-10 finishes, four pole positions and wins in the All Star Open and at Talladega Superspeedway. In 2007, Vickers moved to Red Bull Racing Team (RBRT). In 2008 Vickers gave RBRT its first NASCAR pole award along with three top-fives and six top-10s, finishing 19th in the point standings. In 2008, Vickers joined Braun Racing and brought home six top-five and eight top-10 finishes in the Nationwide Series. In 2009, Vickers returns to Red Bull Racing Team and Braun Racing.
